Sara Brueske (she/her) has been training dogs since she was a young child, and has experienced a large variety of breeds and sports during that time. After graduating from Karen Pryor Academy in 2011, she jumped into the professional dog training world. She began teaching group classes and private lessons at On the Run Canine Center in Minnesota. At the time she was also competing in agility, disc dog as well as fostering for local rescues.
In 2014, Sara was hired by Purina as a dog trainer to perform dog sport shows at Purina Farms in Grey Summit, Missouri. Her number of dogs quickly grew to fill the need of the job. Currently she has thirteen dogs of varying breeds and origins including a boston terrier mix, a papillion, several Australian koolies and Belgian Malinois. Sara and her dogs work to convince people to do more with their dogs, teach about responsible pet ownership and to get involved in the dog sport community.
After six years working as a full-time performer, Sara now teaches on the topic of dog sports full time. While disc dog and tricks are some of her specialities, she also is passionate about creating clear communication between handlers and their dogs as well as teaching how to build a solid foundation for any sport. Sara believes in positive reinforcement not only for dogs, but for their handlers as well. Her biggest joy in training is watching a handler and dog become partners and grow as a team.
Currently, Sara trains in the sports of disc dog, agility, IGP, mondioring, scentwork and dock diving as well as being a trick dog enthusiast. She actively competes in agility, mondioring, dock diving and is planning on trialing in scentwork soon.

B3000 Arousal Mobility - Pattern Games for Managing Arousal
3 WEEK CLASS - Does your dog struggle to settle, stay focused, or shift gears in exciting environments? This class is designed to help dogs learn arousal regulation utilizing the power of pattern games. This course focuses on teaching different pattern games ranging in high to low arousal. Then we will work to develop a training plan with those games to help your dog learn to manage their arousal.
FF240 Tricks for Titles
Did you know that you can now title your dog in Tricks?! Tricks aren’t just for fun anymore and this isn’t just another tricks class! Tricks have so many purposes including teaching your dog to enjoy training, sharpening your skills as a trainer and improving your working relationship with your dog. This class will help guide you through teaching all of the tricks needed to achieve your Trick Dog Novice, Trick Dog Intermediate and Trick Dog Advanced titles.
The tricks in this class are broken into six different categories. We’ll start by focusing on the novice-level tricks for each category and work on building those into the tricks needed for the intermediate and advanced levels.
There is an option for Gold students to earn AKC Trick Dog Titles at the end of this course (additional fee paid to the AKC required).
Your dog does not need any prior training knowledge for this class, but it is very helpful that your dog is food-motivated.
FE595 Bombproof Behaviors
You've trained the behaviors down to the tiniest of detail and are now ready to show them off to the world. This class will help you prepare for the distractions that await you in any environment you can imagine. We will discuss how to know if a behavior is ready to undergo the pressures of distraction, how to evaluate your environment as well as your dog's mental state, how to create patterns to set your dog up for success as well as work through a never ending list of games to play on the quest for distraction domination.
