Scholarship Program for Certificates
FDSA recognizes that Trainer Certificates may be cost prohibitive for some students. As a result, we want you to know about two programs that will help you:
You may take 3 classes per year using our regular scholarship program. These scholarships may ONLY be used towards your bronze level courses. These scholarships are given to students who request them and who express a financial need for assistance.
In addition, we offer a 1/2 off Gold level course scholarship for students who cannot pay the full tuition price. In effect, you will pay $130 and will be upgraded to Gold, assuming space is available in the class. To be eligible, you MUST:
Have completed the TEAM Titles for the level certificate you are applying for. For example, if you are working towards your Trainer Sports Certificate, you must have a TEAM2 title before being eligible for a scholarship. If you are working towards your Obedience/Rally/Freestyle Certificate, then you must have a TEAM3 title before being eligible for a scholarship.
You need to send an email to [email protected] expressing your interest in a half off gold level scholarship, in order to allow you to complete your requirements for a trainer certificate. Please also state which class you wish to take.
Space availability at the Gold level is an issue in many of our courses, so be aware that requesting a scholarship does not guarantee you entry into an impacted class at Gold. Options will be discussed with you when you apply.
